"एक ईंट, एक रुपया"ONE BRICK, ONE RUPEE

OUR STORY

How Agroha Was Built

When a new family arrived in Agroha, they did not stand alone. Every household already living there stepped forward with the same gift: one brick, and one rupee. The brick raised the walls of a home, and the rupee gave the newcomer a start in life. No family was asked to give more than another, and no newcomer was left to begin with empty hands. As families arrived, the city grew — not by the wealth of a few, but by the equal share of many.

A Kingdom as One Family

Maharaja Agrasen Ji taught that a kingdom is only as strong as the care it shows its newest member. Prosperity was not locked away. It was passed on in a measure small enough for every house to give, and large enough, when joined together, to build a city.

The Spirit of Giving

The custom closed the distance between those who were already settled and those who had just arrived. Both stood as equals: one in the act of giving, the other in the dignity of being received.

The Promise in Kalamboli

Agroha Vikas Trust keeps this teaching in daily work: care for those in need, support for education, and gatherings that keep culture and kinship alive. The brick and the rupee have changed their form. The promise has not.
